Janise Stout, Director
Janise has been the director for American Coed Pageants since 2006 and has been involved
in American Coed Pageants since 1998. She was crowned Miss NJ American Coed 2003 and
then placed in the top ten at nationals as well as the 2004 National Actress Winner. Janise is
a graduate of Ramapo College of NJ where she received her BA in Theater, as well as, her
Teacher’s Certification in Elementary Education and High School Speech, Arts and Dramatics.
Janise is currently a bilingual preschool teacher in Long Branch NJ. Janise is also a DJ for
Elite Entertainment where she DJ’s and emcee’s weddings across the state of NJ.

Claudia Haberstroh, Assistant Director
Claudia is currently employed by K. Hovnanian Homes and works as a Community
Assistant for the Community Builder. She has been involved with the pageant industry
for the past 19 years as a director and pageant mom for her two daughters, Janise and
Christina. Both her daughters have competed in the American Coed System starting in 1998
and have won several awards. Claudia has been married for the past 28 years
to her husband, Richard. Claudia loves being a director and being involved with all
aspects of the pageant industry.

Christina Haberstroh, Emcee
Christina has been involved with American Coed Pageants since 1998 winning numerous
awards at both a state and national level. Her spokesmodel speeches and self-
choreographed tap dance numbers have led her to many titles and great opportunities. She
held the Miss Monmouth County and Miss New Jersey National American Miss titles in 2005
and 2006 respectively and she placed 2nd runner-up in the Miss All American Pageant in Los
Angeles, California. Christina is a graduate from Rutgers University with a degree in
Journalism and Media Studies. She is currently a full time reporter with Greater Media where
she covers politics, schools and special events. She also owns her own event planning
business and freelance writes for numerous websites and print publications

Heidi Carlson, Choreographer
Heidi Carlson has been part of the American Coed family since 1999 when she first competed
in the New Jersey State pageant.  She has studied gymnastics, ballet, modern dance, and
salsa. She did gymnastics competitively for 5 years and coached for 5 years.  Heidi graduated
with departmental honors from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports
Management in 2003.  She just recently graduated from Kean University with another BA to
be a Health and Physical Education teacher.

Craig Haberstroh, Sound Tech
Craig is an active 21 year old Senior at Kean University where he is majoring in Physical
education. He enjoys Basketball, Baseball, and other volunteer organizations. His future
ambition is to become a stand-up comic and a gym teacher; but for now he loves to hang out
with his friends and stay up –to- date with today’s pop culture by working as an assistant DJ
for Elite Entertainment.


Robert Stout, Photographer
Robert hails from a small town in Pennsylvania.  He attended Bloomsburg University where he
attained a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Sound Engineering. He has been a
musician for over 15yrs. and is currently an instrumental music teacher at the Long Branch
Middle School in NJ. He is very excited to be working with American Coed Pageants for his
third year alongside his wife Janise.


                        
Volunteers Needed!

The Miss American Coed Scholarship Pageant, is currently
looking for driven, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals to
assist the staff during the 2011 competition. Duties range
from simply helping publicize the event to collecting tickets.
